About
Alex Nelson is a Melbourne-based marketing / project management / technology / strategy sort of all-rounder who loves trying new things and hates writing in the third person.

Maybe stupidly cramming it into four years, Alex completed two degrees simultaneously at the University of Auckland - a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Management and Marketing, and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology and Computer Science. Phew, wild combo eh?

He received awards for two different marketing case competitions at university that focussed on acquisition and retention at Contiki and Auckland Leisure Centres respectively. Taking centre stage is no fear either, having been trained and then requested to MC (not Hammer) at various events of up to 600 attendees.

Alex loves working out how people can best collaborate together, and enjoys engaging with those from vastly different experiences and backgrounds. He achieved the Patty Cup for Leadership and Public Spirit, and Silver Leadership and Service Award in 2015 and 2017 respectively.

Involvement in a plethora (good word innit plethora) of organisations including Avature, GeoInsight, Velocity - Entrepreneurship Programme and Marlborough District Council has allowed Alex to discover his main strengths as listening, learning, empathising and being authentic.
His current focus is to build up his practical experience, travel the world more, and help people better share their story through their personal brand. Alright yeah, that's enough about me.
